Brief History
Sekolah Ugama Radin Mas (SURM) was established in the early 1950s as a religious class catered for parents and teenagers of Kampong Radin Mas, Singapore. The classes were led by the esteemed and knowledgeable scholar - Kiyai Ahmad Zuhri Mutammim at his mother-in-law's place, 47 Radin Mas.
In 2009, SURM initiated the first Full-Time Tahfiz school in Singapore, located at Darul Aman Mosque. After a decade of operating at the mosque, SURM moved and is currently operating at Kembangan Court, Jalan Masjid.
About SURM
Being Singapore's first and only full-time tahfiz madrasah, SURM offers a holistic education that emphasises Quran memorisation for secondary-level students.
Established in 1956, SURM is proudly registered with Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE Reg. No 118).
In addition to their tahfiz studies, our students are prepared for O-Level examinations in subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, and Malay. However, the heart of our program remains the memorisation of the Quran, shaping well-rounded individuals grounded in both academic excellence and spiritual devotion.
Support the Future Guardians of the Quran
As Muslims, we understand that memorising the Quran is one of the greatest achievements a believer can attain. Those who dedicate themselves to this noble endeavour are honoured within the community and often go on to become future da'ees (callers to Islam), guiding others toward the path of Allah.
Your support can make a difference in nurturing these future leaders of our ummah.
Why Your Support Matters?
Running such a specialised program requires significant resources—dedicated teachers, comprehensive curriculums, and an environment conducive to spiritual and academic growth. Your contribution directly impacts the lives of these students, ensuring they have the tools and support to achieve this noble goal.
Be a Part of This Legacy
By supporting this unique initiative, you’re not just investing in education; you’re shaping the future of our ummah. Together, we can preserve the Quran in the hearts of our youth and empower them to lead with faith, knowledge, and purpose.
